SHOWCASING THE NEXT GENERATION OF ARTISTS.
BASE Youth Art Prize is for all Australian children to enter, showcase & celebrate their creativity, imagination and talent in visual arts. It is a three week physical art show in Carrington NSW with over $1,500 in prizes offered across three age categories.

Here’s everything you need to know about dropping off your artwork for the exhibition.

Monday 10 to Friday 14 November, 3pm to 6pm
Sunday 16 November, 4pm to 7pm
Please make sure your artwork is clearly labelled with the artist’s name. If you're unsure about anything, feel free to get in touch.
WHY ENTER?
Art is more than just colours on a paper—it’s a way for kids to express themselves, develop critical thinking, and boost their confidence. Whether your child is an aspiring artist or simply loves to draw, entering this competition can:
Build Confidence: There’s nothing like seeing their work celebrated to help kids feel proud of their creativity.
Encourage Skill Development: Exploring art teaches patience, problem-solving, and fine motor skills.
Provide a Fun Challenge: It’s a great way for kids to engage in a positive, rewarding activity.
Dancers have their concerts. Athletes have their finals and presentations. The BASE Youth Art Prize is the end-of-year spotlight for young artists.
It isn’t only a prize; it’s a celebration & a chance for creativity to take centre stage.

Who Can Enter & What You Could Win
The BASE Youth Art Prize is open to young artists aged 5–18.
BASE Infant: 5–8 years
BASE Primary: 9–12 years
BASE High: 13–18 years
Paint, sketch, collage, cartoon, any medium and any idea. The gallery is yours.
The winner of each category will receive:
2025 BASE Youth Art Prize offers over $1,500 in prizes! The three grand prize winners will receive a prize pack valued over $500 each, which includes:
A special 2hr art and mentoring 1:1 session with BASE Art Space mentor or guest artist in the field of art preference.
BASE Art Space art supplies to keep those creative juices flowing – including all artist quality materials not limited to full sets of acrylic paints, water colour paints, sketch materials, specialty paper and visual diaries housed within premium BASE Art Space packaging.
$150 Visa Gift Card to use however they like.
Certificate and accreditation documents for selective school applications and scholarships.
