BASE Art Space is an art studio in Newcastle, NSW that nurtures creativity and develops confident and expressive individuals.

We predominantly provide after school art lessons to children that are carefully planned to engage children in the exciting world of art and that also promotes maximum creativity & imagination. We teach techniques, introduce mediums, study artists, find individual artistic styles and resonations through experimentation and exploration.

We occasionally run special adult workshops that are designed to reintroduce the wonderful world of making and creating again after becoming adult and being caught up in the race. We aim to inspire and excite by teaching techniques and basic art fundamentals in a beautiful space, but to provide a safe, community place to gather, talk, connect and run ideas by other like minded individuals. All ages and walks of life are very welcome to attend and participate.
